Some reasons why vegans don’t eat meat:
    • Ethical and moral reasons: Vegans respect the right to life of animals and do not want them to suffer. They oppose the exploitation and killing of animals for industrial agriculture and food production.
    • environmental reasons: Meat production is a major source of greenhouse gas emissions, requiring large amounts of water, land and energy to raise and slaughter animals.
    • Health reasons: Vegan nutrition, when done in a healthy and balanced manner with proper planning, can reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as heart diseases, cancer and diabetes.
    • Religious and spiritual reasons: In some religions, it is important to respect the right of animals to live and therefore meat consumption is limited or completely prohibited.
    • The importance of nutritional values: Vegans find that it may be difficult to obtain nutrients such as vitamin B12 and vitamin D found in animal foods from plant-based sources.
