  1. Ingredients needed to make Berliner dough:
    • 380 grams of flour (3 cups);
    • 180 milliliters of milk (at room temperature, 1 cup);
    • 50 grams of granulated sugar (2.5 tablespoons);

    • 40 grams of soft butter (2 tablespoons);
    • 3 egg yolks;
    • 1 pinch of salt.
    How to make:
    1. Knead the dough ingredients in a deep bowl or dough kneader until smooth.
    2. Let the dough rest, covered, for 45 minutes to ferment.
    3. Roll out the fermented dough on a lightly floured counter using a rolling pin to half a centimeter thick and cut round pieces using a glass.
    4. Cover the circles you cut and let them ferment for another 15-20 minutes to ferment for the second time.
