Wash the rice well and soak it in salt water for 15 minutes.
Put the butter and olive oil in the pot and melt them.
Add hot water and salt.
Add rice and mix.
Close the lid of the pot.
When it absorbs the water and becomes soft, turn off the stove.
Cover it with a paper towel and let it brew for 10 minutes with the lid closed.
After brewing, mix and serve.
Basmati rice pilaf is not made by roasting, but by adding it to boiling oily water (salma method). This way it will be more delicious, grainy and soft.
