    The following foods can be consumed to increase vitamin A levels:
    • animal sources: Liver, fish oil, egg yolk, milk and dairy products, butter.
    • herbal sources: Orange and green vegetables such as carrots, sweet potatoes, spinach, broccoli, red and yellow peppers, mangoes, apricots.
    Additionally, fatty foods such as olive oil, avocados and walnuts increase vitamin A absorption.
    Vitamin A supplements can also be used, but these supplements should be taken under the supervision of a doctor.
    Daily vitamin A needs of adults aged 19-64:
    • 700 µg for men;
    • 600 µg for women.
    These amounts may vary depending on age, gender and health status.
