The following ingredients and steps can be followed to set up pickles in a 5-pound canister:
Materials:
2.5 kilos of gherkin cucumbers;
2 tablespoons of chickpeas;
1 tablespoon of black pepper;
1 bowl of peeled garlic;
1 bunch of dill or parsley;
6 tablespoons of coarse salt;
4 cups of vinegar;
3 tablespoons of sugar;
1 teaspoon of lemon salt.
How to make:
All materials are cleaned and prepared.
Place black peppercorns and half of the chickpeas at the bottom of a 5-kilogram container.
A little garlic is thrown in.
Half of 1 bunch of dill is filled at the bottom of the can.
Cucumbers begin to be placed.
Garlic is placed among the placed cucumbers.
The canister is tapped on the ground and filled firmly until 2 fingers remain.
Add salt, sugar and vinegar.
Add the remaining chickpeas and black peppercorns.
Cover it with the remaining dill.
The rest is filled with tap water.
Close the jar tightly and turn it upside down several times until the sugar and salt inside dissolve.
It is then left in a cool place.
It is recommended to place a tray underneath to prevent possible overflow and leakage for the first 3-4 days. It is stated that the pickle will be ready to eat within 1 week and 10 days, but it should be kept for at least 15 days for it to sour and become delicious.
It is stated that the ingredients used in pickle making should be fresh and rock salt should not be used, otherwise it may cause the pickle to melt.
