The following ingredients and steps can be followed to make the best pancake dough:
Materials:
3.5 cups of flour;
1.5 glasses of warm water;
1 tablespoon of oil;
1 teaspoon of salt.
How to make:
Add the flour into a deep bowl and make a hole in the middle.
Add oil, salt and warm water.
First, mix the dough well with your hand.
Knead for about 10 minutes until you get a soft dough that does not stick to the hand.
Divide the dough into pieces.
Cover it with a clean cloth and let it rest at room temperature for about 10 minutes.
On a lightly floured counter, roll out the meringues to the size of a plate using a rolling pin.
The consistency of the pancake dough should be slightly elastic after kneading, it should not stick to the hand, but it should not be hard either. When you divide it, the inside of the dough should look homogeneous and smooth.
Pancake dough is basically prepared with flour, water and salt. The most suitable flour for making pancakes is the type of baklava-pastry flour known as all-purpose white flour (wheat flour, type 550 or type 650).
It is recommended to let the pancake dough rest for at least 20-30 minutes after kneading to keep it soft.
