    Original German Cake Recipe:
    Materials:
    • For the dough: 5 cups of flour, 3 egg yolks, 1 pack of fresh yeast, 1.5 cups of warm milk, half a cup of sugar, a pinch of salt, 2 tablespoons of melted warm butter, 3 tablespoons of orange juice, 1 pack of vanillin.
    • For the cream: 3 glasses of milk, 3 heaping tablespoons of flour, 1 tablespoon of starch, 4 tablespoons of sugar, 1 egg yolk, 1 tablespoon of butter, 1 pack of vanillin, 1 bag of whipped cream.
    • For frying: Oil.
    • For the top: Powdered sugar.
    Preparation:
    1. Pastry: Take 4 cups of flour in a bowl and make a hole in the middle. Add yeast, sugar and warm milk and let sit for 5 minutes. Add other ingredients and knead for 5 minutes. Stretch it and let it ferment for 1 hour.
    2. Cream: Mix flour, starch, milk, sugar and eggs and cook. When it is removed from the stove, add butter and vanillin, when it cools down, add whipped cream and whisk.
    3. cooking: Make balls from the fermented dough and let them ferment for 20 minutes. Fry both sides in hot oil.

    Tips:
    • The cream and dough should not be hot, they should be poured cold or warm.
    • German cake is baked, not fried.
