For Kadayif: 300-350 grams of shredded wheat, 3 tablespoons of butter, 5 tablespoons of granulated sugar, 1.5 cups of crushed walnuts.
For the pudding: 1 liter of milk, 4 tablespoons of flour, 3 tablespoons of corn starch, 1 glass of granulated sugar, 1 pack of vanilla, 1 egg yolk, 1 pack of liquid cream (200 ml).
How to make:
Prepare the kadayif: Break the kadayif into fine pieces and keep it in the freezer for 2 hours.
Roast kadayıf: Melt the butter in a Teflon pan, add sugar and kadayif and fry until it turns pink. Finally, add the walnuts, roast for a while and remove from the stove.
Prepare the pudding: Put all the pudding ingredients into the pot and cook by mixing. 3 minutes after it starts boiling, remove it from the stove and cool it for 10-15 minutes. Then add vanilla and liquid cream and beat with a mixer.
Combine dessert: Spread half of the fried kadayıf on the tray, pour the pudding over it and spread the remaining kadayıf.
rest: After the dessert has cooled to room temperature, put it in the refrigerator and let it rest for 3-4 hours.
Service recommendation: You can serve it by slicing or in cups. You can sprinkle powdered pistachios or cinnamon on it.
