   The main differences between Fernor and Fernette walnut varieties are as follows::

   • Fernor:
     • It is the French type.
     • It is resistant to high altitudes; It can be planted up to an altitude of 1700-1800 meters.
     • It is resistant to spring and autumn frosts.
     • Since it blooms late, it minimizes frost damage.
     • Since the tree structure is more compact, dense planting can be done in small areas.
   • Fernette:
     • It is used as a pollinator.
     • Side branch efficiency is high.

   Therefore, Fernor is planted as a main variety, while Fernette is planted as a pollinator.
