After salmonella bacteria were detected in Kinder chocolate products produced in a factory owned by the Ferrero company in Belgium, the Belgian Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (FAVV) sealed the factory. Subsequently, the Netherlands and Belgium decided to recall all Kinder products produced at the Ferrero factory in Arlon.
In Türkiye, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has decided to recall some Kinder brand products produced in Belgium due to the risk of salmonella bacteria.
Ferrero Türkiye has stated that all Kinder products imported and put on the market are safe. However, increasing the frequency of microbiological analysis is among the routine practices of the Ministry.
