Some foods that gout patients should not consume:
    • offal: Organ meats such as liver, kidney, brain, tripe.
    • excessive amounts of red meat: Beef, lamb, mutton.
    • shellfish: Mussels, shrimp, oysters.
    • Small and oily fish: Anchovy, sardine.
    • Alcohol: Especially beer and hard alcoholic beverages.
    • Beverages containing high fructose corn syrup: Carbonated drinks, sugary fruit juices.
    • Foods high in fat: Whole milk and cream, butter, fries.
    • yeast foods: Brewer’s yeast supplements.
    • solid fats: Margarine, snacks containing trans fat.
Gout patients should get help from a nutritionist about their diet.
