    Himalayan salt may be considered healthier than rock salt.
    Some advantages of Himalayan salt:

    • Naturalness: Since the salt bed is very old, the risk of contamination is low.
    • Sodium rate: It contains less sodium than table salt.
    However, Himalayan salt also has some disadvantages:
    • Heavy metal content: May contain trace amounts of heavy metals.
    • iodine deficiency: It does not contain iodine mineral, which may cause the development of diseases related to iodine deficiency over time.
    There is no definitive information about the mineral content and purity of rock salt. Additionally, local rock salts sold openly may have come into contact with harmful chemicals.
    As a result, salt consumption should be reduced and no matter which type of salt is preferred, attention should be paid to the amount of sodium it contains.
