   FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization),It was founded in 1943 with the aim of eradicating hunger and improving nutritional conditions and became a specialized agency of the United Nations in 1946.

   The purposes for which FAO was established include:

   • To increase the agricultural capacity of developing countries by protecting their natural resources.
   • To support forestry and fishing activities.
   • To ensure food safety and sustainability.

   FAO is headquartered in Rome, Italy.
