Meryem Güngör 11 Mayıs 2026 / 10:17Ingredients needed to make real water pastry:For the dough: 1.5 teaspoons of salt, 6 eggs, 3.5 cups of flour.For intermediate floors: 125 grams of butter (8.5 tablespoons), half a tea glass of oil.For the stuffing: 600 grams of white cheese.How to make:Break the eggs into a bowl, add salt and mix until you get a homogeneous mixture.Add the flour gradually and knead a slightly sticky, medium soft dough.Place the dough on the counter, divide it into orange-sized pieces and let it sit for half an hour.Roll out the first piece of dough and turn it into a thin pastry.Spread melted butter on the bottom of the tray and spread the first sheet of dough on it.Add plenty of water, salt and oil in a deep pot and boil.Add the second sheet of dough to boiling water, boil for 30 seconds, then place in ice cold water.Squeeze the excess water from the phyllo dough, lay it on the first phyllo sheet and brush it with melted butter.Repeat this process until half of the phyllo dough is used up, then add the filling.Add the remaining phyllo dough and brush the top layer with melted butter.Bake in a preheated oven at 210 degrees for 45-60 minutes.Water pastry is sliced and served after it has cooled.
